40's French vintage blue moleskin jacket.

Moleskin was adopted as French workwear. "Mole" means mole in English, and moleskin means mole fur.

Thick cotton threads are woven not only on one side of the fabric, but also on both sides. Although it is a durable cotton material, it has a glossy suede-like smoothness.

This is dead stock from about 80 years ago. It has not been watered yet. It will shrink a few centimeters with wear and washing. Of course there are no tears. It was the perfect size for me to wear.
