50s French Vintage METIS Work Jacket

This is a French Metis work jacket made around the 1950s.

At the time, moleskin and cotton twill were the representative fabrics for French workwear, but this is a rare cotton and linen blend called "Metis." It is a material that is comfortable to wear even in the summer, with the softness and lightness of well-worn linen.

There are tears and paint spots, so you can sense that it was probably worn by a craftsman. It is a jacket that has been well-used, with large tears repaired and worn with care. Although it is tattered, it is a piece that exudes decadent beauty.
