40s French Work Blue Moleskin Jacket "CREPIER" DEADSTOCK

This is a blue moleskin jacket made by Crupier in the 1940s.

Moleskin was adopted as workwear in France. "Mole" means mole in English, and moleskin means mole fur.

The thick cotton threads are brushed on both sides of the fabric, creating a durable cotton material that is smooth and glossy like suede.

Crepier is not as well known as Adolf Lafon or Mont Saint-Michel, but it is an attractive piece with its thick moleskin material, elegant luster, and deep ink blue color.
