HISTORY

    Sailor pants issued by the French Navy (Marine Nationale) in the 1960s. Like the smock, this model was produced between 1952 and 1963 and evolved from a deck work uniform into a summer model.

DETAIL

    The biggest feature of these pants is that they are made of ramie linen, which is lightweight, quick-drying, and salt-resistant. The waist is high, with belt loops only on the back, and suspender buttons around the sleek hips. The button fly, deep side pockets, and wide, straight silhouette that falls straight down to the hem are a design that matches the functionality of the time and current fashion. CONDITION
