H I S T O R Y

    A sheepskin leather jacket adopted in the 1970s for pilots of the French Air Force (PN = Personnel Navigant). Designed to balance warmth at high altitudes with freedom of movement, it features a double zipper, orange rescue vest, and utility pocket on the left sleeve — details emphasizing both functionality and practicality.
    In the mid-1990s it was replaced by a synthetic-fiber model and is no longer issued, yet its superb construction keeps it renowned as an iconic garment of the French Air Force. Maison Martin Margiela’s “Replica” line drew direct inspiration from it, and many fashion houses continue to reference its design today.

    French-made sheepskin: supple, finely grained, and luxuriously soft against the skin. Noticeably lighter and less rigid than typical leather jackets, comfortable even for those new to vintage leather. Color – French Navy, slightly brighter than most issued models. Detachable wool lining; rescue vest not included. Original Éclair zipper runs smoothly with no rust. An authentic military-issued piece combining functional beauty and refined French leather craftsmanship.
