French Army M49 Motor Cycle Leather Jacket

This is a French military M49 leather motorcycle jacket.

This jacket is said to have been issued to some motorcycle units in the French Army. Since the M38 was produced at the same time, many people may have never seen this jacket before due to the small number of them.

The material used is steer leather. Steer leather is made from the leather of bulls that are over two years old and were spayed between three and six months of age. As a result, adult cows that grow up peacefully have few scars. The leather has a firm surface and a stable fiber density, making it suitable for use in leather shoes and belts.

This jacket has a neat length and is double-breasted. Although it is double-breasted, it is light and comfortable to wear without the weight that is typical of leather. The sleeves are raglan sleeves that fall to fit the body line, making it a piece that can be worn with a soft impression even among leather outerwear. It also comes with a chin strap so you can enjoy the details around the collar.
